Overview
Industrial control equipment in firefighting applications

1. For the first type of buildings, including fire control rooms, fire pumps, fire elevators, smoke exhaust facilities, fire automatic alarms, automatic fire extinguishers, fire emergency lighting, and electric fire doors, shutters, valves, etc., they should be powered according to the first-level load requirements specified in the current national power design specifications. For the second type of buildings, the above-mentioned fire control electricity should be powered according to the requirements of the two-way circuit for the second-level load.

2. When a building is powered by high voltage, the power supply system for fire protection and other disaster prevention systems should be independently established by separating from the low-voltage outlet of the transformer.

3. For the first type of buildings, the two power sources or two circuits of the fire control electricity equipment should be automatically switched at the final distribution box.

4. The fire automatic alarm system should have a main power source and a DC backup power source.

5. The main power source of the fire automatic alarm system should use a fire power supply, and the DC backup power source should preferably use a dedicated battery of the fire alarm controller. When the DC backup power source uses a centralized storage battery of the fire system, the fire alarm controller should adopt a separate power supply circuit.

6. For the transformers supplying power to the second type of buildings, it is advisable to select two machines when the high voltage is one power source. It is only possible to choose one transformer when low voltage backup power can be obtained from other users.

7. A dedicated fire distribution panel (box) should be set up in the distribution room (case), and if conditions permit, the fire distribution room should be arranged adjacent to the fire control room.

8. For fire control electricity facilities with large capacity (or centralized, such as fire elevators, fire pumps, etc.), a radiating power supply should be used from the distribution room.

9. In civilian buildings equipped with fire control rooms, the two independent power sources (or two circuits) of the fire control electricity equipment should be automatically switched at the distribution box (case) of the following places: 1. Fire control room; 2. Fire pump room; 3. Fire elevator machine room; 4. Smoke exhaust equipment machine room; 5. Fire emergency lighting distribution box; 6. Fire control distribution box of each floor, etc.

10. The operating voltage of the DC power supply for the fire linkage control device should be 24V.

In summary, to ensure the reliability and safety of fire protection and other disaster prevention systems, a series of regulations have been established for the power supply of fire control electricity equipment in various types of buildings. These regulations cover power supply requirements, the establishment of dedicated fire distribution panels, and the use of backup power sources. Following these regulations is critical for ensuring the effectiveness of the fire protection and disaster prevention systems.

Industrial power supplies need to be safe and efficient. In addition, some industries must meet statutory requirements such as power factor correction.

Typical applications include DIN rail power supplies or efficient robust power supplies.

Depending on power requirements and form factor requirements, many different topologies can be used. NDR-240-24 rail type switching power supply of NVVV switching power supply, with power factor function, please check the product details.
